Theme not MyBB 1.8

I bought FlatDesire, and there was NOTHING that said the theme was for MyBB 1.6 instead of MyBB 1.8. I bought it, opened up the help files and there it was. It said the theme was for 1.6 instead of 1.8, so I am here to ask if there is a planned version of it for MyBB 1.8 and if it would be free. I am very displeased with the site experience
